Welcome to Transformationism

Transformationism is a new economic paradigm that intends to replace capitalism, socialism and their variants with an economic system governed by freedom, moral universalism and adaptability.

Transformational Economics

Social capitalism is a failure. Capitalism and communism, and their variants, are failed experiments that drag humans into the dirt and have brought us to the brink of catastrophe.

Clinging to old, dysfunctional ideas – a cornerstone of conservatism – has become the single greatest threat to our survival.

It’s time to try something else. We need adaptive and transformational economics.

Abundance

Scarcity – an axiom at the heart of social capitalism – is a lie. The earth is abundant, as are we. So where is the prosperity?

Universalism

Conservative paradigms are founded in, and characterized by, imperialism, colonialism, nationalism, racism, race supremacy, gender supremacy, sexism, religious hatred, privilege, homophobia, discrimination, slavery, coercion and oppression. Let’s get rid of them once and for all. We need a way of life that includes and benefits everyone – universally.

Saving Democracy

The failure of the left-right political spectrum (LRPS) and its economic correlate – socialism and capitalism – is the root cause of our failure to thrive as a species. Social capitalism is not fit for purpose. Better democracy is fundamental to well being. We must cut social capitalism out of our democracies.

Problem Solving

We can work together to solve the real problems that confront our species. But conservatism is, by definition, incapable of novelty. Change is a constant. Novelty is required. That’s why we are stalled in the face of massive environmental decline. That’s why we can’t fix poverty. That’s why we can’t fix corruption. That’s why we can’t fix privilege.

Nature

The economics of self-interest is poisoning our oceans, skies, lands, waterways and communities. We must end this madness. It’s becoming clearer and clearer everyday that social capitalism doesn’t have what it takes to get this done. We must act now to transform our economic way of life and begin the long and difficult process of healing our world.

Human Nature

The accounts of human nature underpinning capitalism, socialism, communism, libertarianism, authoritarianism and monarchy are not based on any empirical evidence or even sound reasoning. They are simple stories – false and dangerous stories – about human nature. It’s time to take back the narrative. We need an economics that thrives on intrinsic human moral goodness – not one that thrives on patriarchy, selfishness, greed, deceit and exploitation.
