Family and Partnership
All humans deserve safe and healthy families and partnerships.
Few forces throughout human history have been more destructive to families and partnerships than conservatism, socialism and capitalism.
Transformationists understand, respect and embrace binary and non-binary forms of family and partnership. We reject patriarchy in families and partnerships.
We are child and family focused. We will not tolerate the continuous neglect and sacrifice of our family circles in the name of ‘private interests’ or fascist dictatorship.
We define family as any set of the closest human relationships whether child-bearing or not. We embrace non-binary families and non-binary parents. We require legal equality of all family members. We will teach our children, in and out of schools, to understand, respect and embrace all types of families.
Transformationism rejects economic discrimination against one-parent families. Single parents in any custodial relationship will not have a lower standard of living than coupled parents. Children need all their parents. We will end gender-based discrimination in custody arrangements.
Transformationists will divest government of power to interfere in each adult person’s right to determine the nature and status of their sexual, romantic, partnership or matrimonial relationships. Women, children and youth will be protected against forced and arranged marriages, partnership or matrimonial commitments.
